I just had an argument with a friend about… the meaning of 2 hours.

I’ll explain. I said that our apps can save the normal person, easily, 2 hours in a year (if you want to see the simple calculation, it’s here, below). My friend said that 2 hours a year is, to put it simply: “not interesting”.

And being the stubborn a** that I am, I insisted that if it is 2 hours that are simply handed to you for free, then you bet your (same) a** these 2 hours are interesting!

While we (formally) agreed to disagree, I thought I’d ask you people for your opinion:

And if you want to know why “2 hours”, then.. of course we were discussing our own apps, and here’s the math:

1. Using RedHot Redial or RedHot Callback once a day will save you typically 5 seconds on average per day

2. Using HangApp 3 times a day will save you probably 15 seconds of messing with the screen when you could be doing something else, every day (remember, with HangApp you just put the phone on its face, and continue with your life)…

Together that’s 20 seconds a day. Now let’s see…

20 seconds saved per day, times 30 days a month… that’s…
600 seconds saved per month. or 10 minutes per month, times 12 months… and that’s…
120 minutes or 2 hours a year.

Hoping you help us solve this dispute…

:-)

Yours truly,
AppQ Blogger in conundrum…
